Due to its solid wooden development it's no longer gentle by any implys, but it is very secure when slicing a number of pieces of paper or matboard. The width marking on the ruler are accurate and the blade minimizes cleanly. My only construction associated problem is that the protection clamp, which maintains the blade within the down and locked position, is simply too flimsy. The slightest touch will unlock the spring loaded blade back into the up and ready to lower place.

The different downside had to do with the preliminary manufacturing high quality of the reduceter. Two screws from the metallic cutting information were stripped. I used to be able to find 2 longer screws and tighten the steel cutting information myself, however the product would have been unusable as bought.
